SO, has anyone seen The Great Gatsby yet? We would love to hear your thoughts on this film adaptation of F.Scott Fitgerald’s 1925 novel. The film was directed by Baz Luhrmann, which stars the talented Leonardo DiCaprio (Jay Gatsby), Tobey Maguire (Nick Carraway), Carey Mulligan (Daisy Buchanan), Joel Edgerton (Tom Buchanan), Isla Fisher (Myrtle Wilson) and Jason Clarke (George Wilson. The film’s premise follows the life of a millionaire and a war veteran who finds himself drawn to his past and the lifestyle of his millionaire neighbor. Jay Gatsby and the interpretation of his character is spot on and the prize performance that Dicaprio leads is the best I’ve seen and well suited to his style of acting. Okay I’ll stop with the spoilers, if you are a fan of the book, I highly recommend you go see it.
